Cooking Camp Update

I am so excited that my cooking camp is filled to capacity! Thirteen kids and I will be starting our culinary adventure on Monday. Wish me luck!

I have spent the week double checking my recipes and shopping lists. This weekend Levi and I will take a field trip to the large Asian market for sushi making materials. The rest will be delivered to the kitchen via the dreaded Safeway.com. I just couldn't see lugging all those groceries when I could have them delivered to the site. Hopefully they won't screw it up too badly.

If you or anyone you know is interested in some cooking classes - for kids or adults, please let me know. I could help a birthday boy make his own cupcakes, or help with a garden tea party. My mind is popping with creative ideas to get kids involved in the kitchen.

On a side note, I am finally the proud owner of a pressure cooker. My parents have been cooking up a storm using theirs and I was eager to jump on the band wagon. Our first try was to make Pho from scratch. This is the recipe I used, slightly altered. I used ox tail and no chicken parts.

Next time I think I will skim the broth before serving, but oh well. It was fabulous anyway! Soup was on the table in an hour!

I am looking for more pressure cooker ideas so please pass along any recipes or canning suggestions.
