A Little Fun For the End of Summer!

Last weekend, we headed out to enjoy our last few days before kiddos came back to the classroom. These are a little late in being posted, but work has crashed upon us! Don't get me wrong, I am overjoyed to see all my students again, but the early mornings are wearing on me already.

I haven't been to the State Fair since I was in college in Salem. It was a BLAST! The weather held while we wandered, nibbled and enjoyed everything through the day.

Delicious and totally over-sized foods. (Yes, that is a smoked turkey leg.)

Buying ridiculous "as seen on TV" products. We were sucked into the sales pitch!

Enjoying the view from the gondola that floats above the fair.

Lots of cow butt.

Mutton Riding! Little kids on sheep.

How did you close out summer? And how do they make a turkey leg taste like bacon?

  1. I love state fairs! I haven't been to one in over a decade. Great pictures. That turkey leg looks delish!

  2. It looks like you had a fabulous weekend before returning to the classroom. I refuse to believe that summer is over, so I just keep on keeping on. Have a great week.
